In a future where advanced AI systems pervade  all aspects of society, access to technology and resources is strictly  regulated by an Honour Token economy. Those with wealth and status hoard  abundant Honour, granting them unlimited use of AI to fulfil their  every need and ambition. For the less privileged, Honour must be earned  through loyal service and sacrifice. Performing tasks and exhibiting  desired behaviours incrementally accrues meagre Honour earnings, which  can be painfully saved and spent on limited AI services or for survival  needs.

On  the margins, the most impoverished and disconnected struggle to scrape  by without any Honour tokens at all. Branded dangerous and dishonourable  outcasts, these Low-Tier citizens are forced to subsist outside the  system, deprived of healthcare, education, transport - all technology  gate-kept by Honour requirements. Out of desperation, some turn to  illicit means to take advantage of insecure public AI nodes or careless  members of the public, diverting stolen Honour into underground  accounts, fuelling a shadow economy. Ruthless groups of lowlifes on the  fringes of society compete fiercely to identify and exploit honour  opportunities, be it handed out by an AI or manipulated out of the hands  of rivals.
